Vintage Wassily Chair Set
Also known as the model b3 chair, the wassily chair was designed by german architect Marcel Breuer circa 1925 whose inspiration came from the tubular construction of a bicycle frame. Truly revolutionary and forward thinking. This set of Wassily chairs was produced before Knoll and imported by a company called Stendig. Knoll bought the paten later in 1968.
One chair is in great condition, the other is good except for the seams on one arm has come loose. Photos upon request.
An interesting tidbit, for all that believe that Knoll was the "original", the ones that are part of the permanent collection of the MoMA in N.Y. (since the late 60ties) are the chairs from Stendig.
